Naturally, the easiest path to a whiter, brighter smile is to keep your mouth healthy. Our teeth whitening solutions are designed to complement all your hard work by lifting much of the discolouration on your enamel that’s caused by certain food and drinks, tobacco use, or other lifestyle or biological factors.
During your assessment, we will carry out a few checks to make sure you are a suitable candidate for teeth whitening treatment and explain how everything works. We will then provide you with a series of custom-made trays and a course of whitening gel. We’ll show you exactly how to use these products at home, and we will always be on hand to answer any questions or provide further guidance as you progress through your treatment in the coming days and weeks.
We will customise the teeth whitening process according to how sensitive your teeth are, the overall health of your enamel, any existing dental work that has taken place previously, and what kind of result you are looking for. Our aim is always to ensure our teeth whitening service in Bridgend yields the most natural results possible, but we will always discuss your expectations with you at the beginning of your treatment.
For a brighter, more confident smile, our professional teeth whitening safely removes stains and discolouration. At Pen Y Bont Dental, we offer tailored treatments that enhance your natural tooth colour, delivering long-lasting results with minimal sensitivity. Whether in-practice or at home, our whitening solutions leave you with a radiant, refreshed smile you’ll love.
Is teeth whitening safe?
Yes! As long as the treatment is performed under a dentist’s supervision and according to the manufacturer’s instructions, teeth whitening is generally safe. However, it is not recommended during pregnancy or while breastfeeding.
How long will it take to whiten my teeth?
You will be asked to wear your custom teeth whitening trays for a set amount of time each day for 1-2 weeks, until you reach your desired shade. Many patients see an improvement after just one treatment, but results will vary from person to person.
Can teeth whitening remove all stains?
Whitening is most effective on surface (extrinsic) stains caused by food, drink, or smoking. It doesn’t work as well on deep (intrinsic) stains or discoloration from certain medications or tooth injuries. We recommend speaking to a member of our team to determine what to expect from the treatment. Please note that teeth whitening treatments only work on natural enamel and will not change the colour of crowns, veneers or fillings.
Is professional teeth whitening painful?
Teeth whitening shouldn’t hurt, but some patients can experience mild irritation or temporary sensitivity after each treatment. Any discomfort should disappear within 24 hours.
How long will the results last for?
Whitening results can last from 6 months to 3 years, depending on your lifestyle habits and oral hygiene routine. As part of our aftercare service, our dentists will advise you on how to keep your teeth looking whiter for longer.
How much does your teeth whitening service cost?
Our teeth whitening courses are more affordable than you might think. Prices start from just £295. Please contact us directly for more information and to arrange your first consultation.
